The history of the origin of the Colomba Pasquale
According to a beautiful legend, the city of Pavia is said to have appeased the wild Lombard king Alboin in 571 with a dove of peace baked as an Easter cake. Its airy, buttery yeast dough is enriched with fine orange zest. A delicate hazelnut glaze with whole almonds covers the highly aromatic Easter cake.
